Bob joined Hyper Group as Chief Financial Officer in 2018, became Chief Operating Officer in 2021, and was promoted to President in 2024. With nearly 20 years of leadership and finance experience – almost half of which has been in the asset monetization and valuation industry – Bob oversees day-to-day operations, reviews all investment opportunities, provides executive leadership to all Hyper Group divisions, and drives strategic growth initiatives.
Prior to Hyper Group, Bob served as Assistant Controller at Enlivant (a TPG Capital portfolio company), where he led the financial integration of more than 50 new senior living facilities and increased his department’s headcount by more than two-fold as the company grew via acquisition. He also played an integral role in reorganizing the financial reporting department and designed and implemented internal controls. Prior to Enlivant, he was an assurance manager at KPMG in Chicago, where he directed multi-disciplined teams serving large private equity real estate funds and real estate investment trusts.

Jonathan leads Hyper Group’s appraisal, valuation, and diligence practice, Hyper Valuation Services (HVS). He joined the firm in 2014 to launch its valuation division, and continues to manage its day-to-day operations, growth, and diversification. HVS performs inventory, equipment, financial reporting, and insurance appraisals across nearly every industry vertical. In 2025, under Jonathan’s leadership, HVS expanded to include a diligence services team conducting field exams along with other related services.
Jonathan began his career in the appraisal industry as a Financial Analyst in Great American Group’s wholesale/industrial inventory practice in Boston. Before working in the appraisal industry, Jonathan was a college hockey coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Jonathan has successfully completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course.

Phil joined Hyper Group in 2023 as a Senior Vice President and member of the leadership team. He brings a uniquely diverse background shaped by roles in privately owned businesses, private equity groups, Fortune 1,000 corporate development teams, international service firms, and institutionally funded capital providers. Phil leads business development initiatives and provides operational oversight within Hyper Group’s asset monetization practices.
Before joining Hyper Group, Phil led and participated in cross functional teams to acquire and sell businesses, raise and invest capital, develop and market new products and services, turnaround financially distressed businesses, and consistently managed a variety and assortment of business projects at various roles at KPMG, FMC Corporation, Hilco Capital, and Lake Park Capital.

Dan joined Hyper Group in 2018 and leads business development for HVS, focusing on driving sales growth and managing client relationships across the country, with a focus on the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. He oversees business development operations and works closely with lenders, private equity firms, law firms, and turnaround professionals nationwide.
Before joining Hyper Group, Dan served as Managing Director of Business Development at Gordon Brothers following its merger with AccuVal-LiquiTec, where he facilitated upwards of 5,000 lending transactions with over $20 billion in asset value. His background also includes global machinery and equipment leadership roles and management of AccuVal’s Chicago office.
Dan is an Accredited Senior Appraisal (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers. He is also an active member of multiple industry organizations, including the Secured Finance Network; the Milwaukee Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association; and the Association for Corporate Growth.

Kat joined the firm in 2012 and has held a variety of operational and client-facing roles, including the implementation of many of the firm’s early auction operations. She now establishes and maintains relationships with appraisal and diligence clients, including financial institutions and asset-based lenders across the Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast. Kat also holds an auction license in the state of Illinois.
Kat is invested in professional development and is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Turnaround Management Association Midwest Chapter and the Secured Finance Network Midwest Chapter. David joined the Hyper Group team in 2022 as Managing Director of Auction Services, bringing decades of experience in commercial and industrial equipment and real property auctions. In 2026, he transitioned into his current role in business development, where he focuses on expanding client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the auction division. David is a Licensed Auctioneer in multiple states, a Certified Equipment Appraiser through the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers, and is a graduate of the Auction Marketing Institute.
Before joining Hyper Group, David founded and led Blackbird Asset Services, a New York-based auction house, for nearly 15 years. Prior to establishing Blackbird, he held various business development and leadership roles at several of the nation’s largest commercial and industrial auction firms. He is active in numerous trade organizations, including the Industrial Auctioneers Association, National Auctioneers Association, New York State Auctioneers Association, Turnaround Management Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Machinery Dealers National Association.

Jarrett joined HVS in 2024 as a Director of Business Development for Hyper Group’s Southeast region. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships and driving growth across key Southeastern markets including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Florida.

Joshua brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience to Hyper Group, where he serves as Controller. He oversees the company’s financial and operational functions, focusing on developing strong internal controls designed to mitigate risk, strengthen accuracy, and increase operational efficiency. He strives to elevate financial reporting, streamline processes, and ensure our teams are empowered to deliver excellent results to clients.
Prior to joining Hyper Group, he spent over a decade leading and managing accounting functions across multiple organizations and industries – including public accounting, gaming/entertainment, distribution businesses, and entrepreneurial advisory services. This background includes building accounting teams, developing reporting tools, supporting audits, designing new accounting procedures, and directly advising small businesses and executives. He brings this history forward to his current role, combining technical accounting depth with a practical, business-focused approach.
Adam joined the firm in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the asset valuation and monetization industry. He is responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships nationwide, partnering with asset-based lenders, private equity firms, turnaround professionals, and other capital providers to deliver valuation, diligence, and monetization solutions. Adam’s background spans both appraisals and business development, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs throughout the lending and restructuring lifecycle.
Before joining Hyper Group, Adam held a variety of leadership roles within the valuation industry. He began his career as an industrial machinery and equipment appraiser and project manager before transitioning into business development, where he managed client relationships across multiple service lines in every region of the U.S. and Canada. Adam was recognized by the Secured Finance Network with its 40 Under 40 Award and is a frequent panelist and contributor for both the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Secured Finance Network (SFNet).
Steve joined Hyper Group in 2023 as a Senior Director and member of the auction team. With more than 15 years of experience in the asset disposition industry, he has managed the sale of assets across nearly every major industry vertical, including: CNC machinery, plastics, metal fabrication, wood working, food processing, oil and gas, and consumer products. Steve is also a licensed auctioneer in multiple states.
Prior to joining Hyper Group, Steve served as a Vice President at a well-established Chicago-based auction company and used machinery dealer, where he led pre-contract diligence and operational execution for commercial and industrial equipment monetization projects.
Seth joined Hyper Group in 2022 as Director of Auction Services and is a licensed auctioneer in multiple states. He manages complex commercial and industrial asset sales from start to finish, leading operational execution and ensuring strong client communication throughout the auction lifecycle.
Before joining Hyper Group, Seth worked as an elementary school physical education teacher and baseball coach. With his professional foundation in education, he brings a leadership style rooted in clear communication, collaboration, and strong client service. He takes pride in upholding integrity, discipline, and a service-driven approach to our auction division.
Luke became Director of Auction Diligence in 2026 after serving as a Machinery & Equipment Appraiser with Hyper Group since 2018. His appraisal experience spans a wide range of industry sectors – including CNC machinery, plastics, metal fabrication, woodworking, and food service – and he brings this depth of knowledge to his current role overseeing diligence for upcoming auction opportunities.
Before joining Hyper Group, Luke worked as a Quality Control Officer at Seymour of Sycamore and as a Research Associate at AgReliant Genetics. He holds a B.A. in Journalism with a Minor in Marketing from Western Illinois University.

Dan joined Hyper Group in 2010 and leads all inventory, e-commerce, and retail monetization engagements, overseeing pre-contract diligence and operational execution. He brings more than 30 years of experience in retail operations, finance, and monetization, including extensive work with large-scale liquidation projects.
Before joining Hyper Group, Dan spent 15 years with Great American Group (now GA Group), working on retail projects across the US, Canada, U.K. and Germany. His career includes more than $1 billion in liquidation assignments for major companies such as Kmart, Montgomery Ward, Circuit City, Hudson Bay, RONA, and Movie Gallery. Earlier in his career, Dan held operational and finance roles with Macy’s, Espirit de Corp, Office Max, Int’l Paper and Office One Superstore.

Derek Carrus joined Hyper Group in 2022 and oversees all aspects of the inventory appraisal process, including in-depth data analysis, facility inspections, and communication with lenders and senior company leadership. He has completed hundreds of inventory appraisals across a wide range of industries including plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, food processing and distribution, automotive, military and aerospace, branded and private label apparel, and retail.
Prior to joining Hyper Group, Derek worked in the inventory appraisal division at Heritage Global Valuations.

Chris joined Hyper Group in 2024 and manages a team of analysts focused on industrial and wholesale inventory appraisals. He oversees project execution, trains and manages junior staff, reviews appraisal reports, and collaborates daily with company executives and asset-based lenders.
Chris began his appraisal career in 2013 and has worked on hundreds of inventory engagements across a wide range of industries. Before joining Hyper Group, he served as a senior appraiser at Gordon Brothers. Chris’ industry specialties include, but are not limited to, automotive, construction and building products, food and beverage, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and plastics and rubber products. His work has taken him throughout the United States and Canada, visiting manufacturing facilities, distribution facilities, and corporate offices.

Christopher joined Hyper Group in 2025 and brings more than 20 years of appraisal expertise to the firm. He leads projects, staff development, and report reviews, and communicates daily with company executives and asset-based lenders.
Before joining Hyper Group, Christopher served as a Director in Gordon Brothers’ Inventory Valuation practice. He has conducted and reviewed hundreds of inventory appraisals in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Vietnam and Japan. These valuations have included industrial, wholesale, and retail operations across a wide range of industries including healthcare, building products, consumer products, food processors, machine tools, automotive, energy, distributors, and metals. He has also consulted with lending institutions, private equity funds, and debtor companies on best practices for monitoring collateral.
Christopher has successfully completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course.
Mike joined Hyper Group in 2021 and leads the Machinery & Equipment Valuations practice. He draws on decades of appraisal and management experience to ensure timely, high-quality valuation engagements and strong client service. His responsibilities include scheduling internal staff and subcontractors for appraisal engagements, managing clients’ deliverables, hiring and training staff, and developing internal processes that support operational excellence.
Before joining Hyper Group, Michael held positions at several major valuation firms, including Suncorp Valuations and Accuval/Dovebid Valuation Group. He is also a former U.S. Navy service member.
Michael is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers. He successfully completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course. He is also a Certified Expert Witness for the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Minnesota.

With more than 15 years of professional writing and editorial experience, Beth ensures that every report meets rigorous standards for clarity, accuracy, and compliance. Since joining Hyper Group, she has played a key role in developing and refining Hyper Group’s reporting to meet the high standards clients have come to expect. In addition to managing Hyper Group’s writing team, Beth leads its internal marketing efforts.

Charlotte joined Hyper Group in 2020 and collaborates closely with project managers to write inventory and machinery and equipment appraisals and diligence reports. Before joining Hyper Group, Charlotte spent six years leading research teams across the U.S. and the U.K. for a publicly traded commercial real estate information and analytics provider. Most recently, Charlotte oversaw the research team for a national commercial real estate appraisal firm.
Alyssa joined Hyper Group in 2019 and works closely with project managers to write inventory and machinery and equipment appraisals, as well as diligence reports. She also manages, trains, and edits the work of others on the writing team. Prior to joining the team, Alyssa served as a Writing Consultant and a Journalist at her university.
