Hyper Group Welcomes Mark Stevens to Lead New Diligence Services Division

Hyper Group has launched a new Diligence Services Division to extend its collateral monitoring solutions beyond appraisals and into field exams and inventory test counts. Leading the charge is Managing Director Mark Stevens, whose blend of lender services expertise and M&A diligence experience positions HVS to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end support for lenders and their borrowers.

Expanding Capabilities for Clients

With this new division, Hyper Group now offers clients a seamless experience across valuation and diligence services. The integration of field exams with Hyper Group’s established Hyper Valuation Services appraisal practice creates efficiencies that lenders and companies will appreciate. By coordinating field exams with appraisal teams, lenders gain a streamlined workflow: fewer handoffs, faster completion times, and a single source of information across valuation and diligence. As HVS President Jonathan Deptula noted, clients who rely on HVS for timely, accurate appraisals can now “depend on us for field exams and similar services, creating efficiencies lenders and companies will appreciate.”

Stevens concurred, noting “our goal is for our clients to feel as if they’re working with one cohesive business unit when engaging HVS for field exams and appraisals along with providing an exceptional experience for the clients’ borrowers.”

About Mark Stevens

Stevens brings over 15 years of professional experience conducting collateral due diligence for asset-based lenders, along with audit and financial due diligence for M&A transactions. His background spans middle-market and larger syndicated facilities – from $5 million to $1 billion – across sectors including consumer products, industrial, logistics, transportation, energy, professional services, metals, and agriculture.

 “Throughout my career I’ve had the great privilege of working with incredible clients as well as amazing colleagues,” said Stevens. “I look forward to continuing to build and expand those relationships with the goal of providing exceptions client service.”

What the New Division Delivers

The Diligence Services Division will offer:

  • Survey (new business) field exams to inform facility structuring and eligibility criteria;
  • Recurring examinations focused on ongoing monitoring, control testing, and covenant adherence; and
  • Inventory collateral test counts to validate quantities, locations, and operational controls.

Under Stevens, the emphasis is on tailored deliverables that meet lender timelines and borrower realities, delivering insights that are clear, defensible, and decision ready.
