Valuation Analyst (Associate M&E Appraiser)

Location: Remote, with option to work from Chicago or Rolling Meadows, IL offices

Position Summary

Hyper Group is seeking a motivated Valuation Analyst to join our Machinery & Equipment Appraisal team. This entry‑level role offers comprehensive on‑the‑job training and a clear path for advancement in a specialized and in‑demand valuation career.

Valuation Analysts balance remote work with frequent travel to conduct on‑site asset inspections nationwide, gaining hands‑on experience in asset valuation, appraisal methodologies, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior appraisers with on‑site inspections of machinery and equipment
• Identify, document, and analyze industrial and commercial assets
• Develop equipment lists using Microsoft Excel and other software
• Research asset specifications and market values using trade sources and industry contacts
• Collaborate with management and report writers to support final appraisal reports

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience or a college degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and quality‑focused
• Self-directed, with ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple projects
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Willingness to travel regularly
