Machinery & Equipment Appraiser

Location: Remote, with option to work from Chicago or Rolling Meadows, IL offices

Position Summary

Hyper Group is seeking an experienced Machinery & Equipment Appraiser to perform asset inspections and valuations for financial reporting and advisory purposes. This mid‑level role is ideal for professionals with prior appraisal experience who are comfortable working independently, traveling regularly, and contributing to team‑based valuation projects across industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections of machinery, equipment, and industrial assets
• Tour facilities, meet with plant personnel, and gather asset information
• Develop detailed equipment descriptions and standardized asset listings
• Perform market research and due diligence using trade sources and industry contacts
• Partner with report writers to support final deliverables

Qualifications

• Prior experience valuing machinery and equipment assets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and self‑directed
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Willingness to travel regularly
