Inventory / Retail Liquidation Consultant

Location: Remote

Position Summary

Hyper Group is seeking experienced Inventory/Retail Liquidation Consultants to support store closing and third‑party inventory liquidation projects nationwide. This is a 1099 independent contractor role ideal for seasoned retail or wholesale professionals with strong operational and merchandising expertise. This position entails extensive travel with eight- to 12-week long assignments.

Consultants manage day‑to‑day liquidation activities, coordinate with internal and client teams, and oversee execution through project completion. Supplemental appraisal contractor opportunities may also be available.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage or support store closing and inventory liquidation projects
• Oversee merchandising, sales execution, and operational wind‑down activities
• Maintain strong working relationships with client management, restructuring professionals, and internal teams
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and communication with corporate leadership
• Manage the sale of fixed assets when applicable
• Lead on‑site operations through project completion

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including multi‑store projects
• Background in merchandising and supervision of retail or corporate personnel
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel extensively and remain on assignment for extended periods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
