Associate Writer

Location: Remote, with option to work from Chicago, IL or Providence, RI offices

Position Summary

Hyper Group is seeking an entry‑level Associate Writer to support the preparation of inventory and machinery appraisal reports. This role focuses on financial and business writing, editing, and market research. No prior appraisal experience is required. Associate Writers receive training on valuation concepts, report structure, and financial data interpretation while working closely with appraisers and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Write inventory and equipment appraisal reports using provided notes and data
• Edit and proofread reports for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Conduct market and industry research using online and trade sources
• Collaborate with appraisers and analysts to support final written deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent time‑management abilities
• Self-directed, with ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple projects
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and within a team
